Purpose of processing

This is how NAI handles personal data on the site.

NAI processes your personal information when you

  • sign up to participate in a conference, seminar or other event that NAI organizes
  • order printed publications through our web site
  • sign up for a subscription through any of our websites, for example newsletter subscription, events information etc.
  • apply for a job at NAI
  • apply for a scholarship

The purpose of storing personal data varies depending on the above listed examples. Personal data is stored for example to carry out administrative measures necessary for example events and evaluations. The information can also be stored to provide information on upcoming activities, publications etc. and for surveys to evaluate our activities and service.

Transfer of personal data

Your personal information may also be disclosed to anyone who needs to read the data as a result of the electronic document that is based on

  • an agreement with you
  • a legal obligation
  • a task of general interest

Right-of-access principle

NAI is an authority. This means that messages sent to us through our website are public documents that can be disclosed under the right-of-access principle.

The right to request information

You have according to the Swedish law § 26 Personal Data Act (1998:204), once per calendar year the right to request information about the personal data processed about you at NAI, whether collected via the website or otherwise.

If you want this information, you must submit a signed request to us. The request shall be in accordance with the Data Protection Act made on paper, and cannot be sent by e-mail.
