Working at NAI

The Institute is an exciting, international workplace, with employees from different backgrounds and with diverse experience. We aim at an equal gender distribution and appreciate ethnic and cultural diversity. The Institute holds a health diploma and gives priority to health and working environment issues.

Health and healthcare

In 2004 the Nordic Africa Institute qualified for a health diploma through Korpen (an organisation working with health and fitness). This means that we are working strategically to improve health at the workplace. Health is about preventing illness and injury and promoting well-being. It is an area where both the management and the employees must take responsibility. All staff members also have a responsibility for the comfort at the workplace, because we are eachothers' working environment.
The NAI staff has the possibility to do some kind of physical activity one hour a week. There is a broad choice of activities, i.a. aerobics, swimming, floorball, QiGong and Nordic walking.

NAI is part of the network ''Framtidsskapet'

Cultural diversity
NAI is part of a network called 'Framtidsskapet' which goal is to make companies and organisations conscious of the advantages and profits of cultural diversity. For NAI it is important to be part of 'Framtidsskapet' as we want to counteract preconception and discrimination in the society.

We have a health diploma from a Swedish national health organization.

We serve fairtrade coffee.
