AEGIS Thematic Conference and Plenary in Edinburgh 15–19 June 2006
‘African Cities: Competing Claims on Urban Space’ was the theme of the AEGIS thematic conference that was organized by the Centre for African Studies, University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Carin Norberg, NAI’s director and Susanne Linderos, NAI’s information manager participated in both the thematic conference and the plenary meeting.

Book Fair at the Congress for the Humanities and Social Sciences, 27 May-3 June 2006
Hosted by the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS), the multidisciplinary congress gathered some 8,500 delegates from North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. NAI participated with a book exhibit.

Research conference in Accra, Ghana, 15-17 May 2006
