Courses

The Library of the Nordic Africa Institute offers introductory courses in using the library and its resources.  The courses are held with any of the librarians as instructors, in either Swedish or English. Please contact the library for more information.
 

• Library introduction
  A general introduction to the library and the local database AfricaLit.
• Periodicals
  Introduction to the periodicals kept by the library, both in print and electronic form.
• Government publications
  Introduction to the government publications kept by the library and on the Internet.
• Literature search in databases
  Introduction to bibliographic databases on Africa for locating literature.

Library tours

Guided tours of the library can be arranged for groups by appointment. The tour can be focused on your field of interest if you let us know before your visit. Occasionally we can visit a course / larger group to offer user education of the resources on our website.
