Andrew Byerley reports from Uganda in new blog
NAI researcher Andrew Byerley is currently conducting fieldwork in Jinja and Kampala in Uganda where he is studying urban planning. Land redevelopment in these urban areas often manifests itself in the creation of industries, shopping malls, ‘modern’ houses, ‘productive’ agribusiness. This in turn raises issues of displacement and exclusion. What tactics and strategies do residents use to deal with the changes?
