The Council for the Development of Social Sciences Research in Africa (CODESRIA) is currently holding its 13th General Assembly in Rabat, Morocco. Lectures, round tables and panel discussions are centred on the theme “Africa and the Challenges of the Twenty First Century”. NAI director Carin Norberg and NAI senior researchers Fantu Cheru and Kjell Havnevik are attending the meeting, together with over 500 researchers from Africa and the Diaspora. CODESRIA is one of the Nordic Africa Institute's partner organisations. It was established in 1973 as an independent pan-African research organization, primarily focusing on social sciences research in Africa.
