African liberation-exhibit at NAI

Exhibition opens on Monday March 5 at 16.00

An original copy of the very first issue of ANC’s official publication Sechaba, dating from 1967, is one of the highlights of an upcoming exhibition at NAI. As part of NAI’s 50th anniversary celebrations visitors will get a chance to explore the powerful words and images of liberation movements in sub-Saharan Africa. The institute’s library will exhibit posters, pamphlets, publications and books that played an integral part in the liberation of Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.The exhibition opens on March 5 and is open to all.
