Anti-gay laws supported by the West

One of the reasons behind the recent signing of anti-homosexuality bills in Nigeria and Uganda can be traced to African leaders being fed up with Europe and USA dictating how to think and act, according to NAI director Iina Soiri.
– In addition, over the last decades, conservative religious movements have grown strong in both Nigeria and Uganda with support from sister organisations in the West. They are very loud and have managed to mobilise people against various minorities, says Iina Soiri.
