CODESRIA 40th anniversary conference

CODESRIA (Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa) is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary with a conference in Dakar. At the conference Professor Sam Moyo and Professor Thandika Mkandawire received lifetime achivement awards.

NAI has always been committed to equal partnership and ownership by giving voice to African scholars in defining their own research agenda and development of social sciences in the continent. NAI is represented at the conference by its Director, Iina Soiri, who delivered a goodwill message in the opening session of the conference chaired by the Prime Minister of Senegal Madam Aminata Toure. Lennart Wohlgemuth, who once also was Director of NAI, is also attending the conference.
